Multiplication: Properties of Multiplication
Some important properties of multiplication are:
1. Commutative property: The order in which two numbers are multiplied does not affect the result. In other words, a x b = b x a
2. Associative property: The grouping of three or more numbers being multiplied does not affect the result. In other words, (a x b) x c = a x (b x c)
3. Distributive property: When a number is multiplied by a sum or difference of two or more numbers, it can be distributed to each term inside the parentheses separately. In other words, a x (b + c) = a x b + a x c
